TidalHealth, located in Salisbury, MD, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Neurosurgery department. Position will be serving 288-bed hospital TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. Responsible for both inpatient and outpatient care on a rotating basis M-F 8-5 with on call shifts as scheduled. OR duties as needed with support of experienced Neurosurgeons.

General Responsibilities:

• Performs comprehensive histories and physical examinations
• Interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Formulates diagnosis. Develops a treatment plan for neurosurgical conditions.
• Implements therapeutic intervention where appropriate
• Exercise judgment on conditions requiring consultation, referral or evaluation by the supervising neurosurgeon

Hospital Responsibilities:

• OR duties as needed in support of experienced neurosurgeons.
• Conducts hospital rounds on patients including intensive care units
• Performs all admission history and physicals
• Formulates treatment plans as discussed with neurosurgeons
